A Canadian financial technology firm this week affirmed an extension of its collaboration with Wix, a publicly traded software-as-a-service platform for creating and managing websites.
Moneris Solutions Corporation says the partnership with Wix is “built on a commitment to deliver simple and easy-to-use solutions for Canadian businesses.”
The partnership started last year when the Toronto fintech tapped Wix to launch Moneris Online, an online commerce solution.
This year, the pair are collaborating on Moneris Total Commerce, an omni-channel point-of sale-solution.
The solution aims to narrow the gap between online and in-store transactions with a fully integrated and unified commerce experience for merchants and their customers, according to Patrick Diab, Chief Product and Partnership Officer at Moneris.
“For many businesses, taking the next step means expanding into new ways of serving their customers, whether that’s online or in-store,” he says.
However, managing a physical and online presence “can be complex and daunting at first,” Diab says.
“As an omnichannel solution, Moneris Total Commerce helps make things easier by giving retail businesses a unified view and control of their operations through one intuitive solution, a solution that’s able to grow with their business,” he stated.
Merchants purchase hardware, which includes a Moneris Go smart terminal and tablet pre-installed with tools businesses need to accept payments. From there, merchants plug in the device and log in to their Wix account. Once up and running, the solution can help businesses consolidate store operations through an omni-channel platform to create a seamless customer buying experience.
“This expanded partnership better equips Canadian businesses to streamline their operations and enhance their customer experience both in-store and online,” stated Anthony Scaglione, EVP of Global Sales at Wix. “This partnership reflects our commitment to providing robust solutions that empower business owners to grow and adapt in a rapidly changing commerce landscape.”
Earlier this year, Moneris introduced Tap to Pay on iPhone in the Moneris Go app. The Canadian company also collaborated with the TTC in 2023.
