Rogers Communications has announced a new partnership with Nova Credit, a cross-border credit bureau, to assist newcomers in Canada with building credit and financing smartphones.
By recognizing international credit history, Rogers will offer newcomers the Rogers Red credit card, helping them establish a financial foundation.
The card also offers 0% interest financing on new devices, enabling newcomers to stay connected while spreading payments. Initially, credit histories from nine countries will be recognized, with plans to expand.
The Rogers Red credit card offers 3% cash back with Rogers and includes additional benefits like no annual fee and free Roam Like Home days.
“At Rogers, we are committed to making Canada home for newcomers from the moment they arrive,” said Phil Hartling, President of Wireless, Rogers.
“Our partnership with Nova Credit not only removes a roadblock to help newcomers establish a financial foundation in Canada, but it also helps them stay connected with loved ones as they start their new life here.”
