Bloomberg was recently named the best crypto index provider in Canada.
The “Best Canadian Crypto Index Provider” title hails from the 2025 Canadian ETF Express Awards and was Bloomberg’s second time in a row earning the honour, according to Jigna Gibb, who serves as Head of Commodities and Digital Assets Index Product at Bloomberg Index Services.
“This recognition as ‘Best Canadian Crypto Index Provider’ at the 2025 Canadian ETF Express Awards, for the second consecutive year, underscores our commitment to innovation and excellence in the digital asset space,” remarked Gibb.
Bloomberg’s suite of digital asset indices features a range of offerings, including indices tracking well-known digital assets, as well as Bloomberg Bitcoin & Gold Blend Indices, which combines commodities and digital assets components.
“We are honoured to be celebrated by the Canadian markets and remain dedicated to providing indices that empower our clients to navigate the evolving landscape of crypto investments,” said Gibb.
On the night, CIBC won the title of “Best ETF Custodian in Canada,” while Toronto-born crypto pioneer 3iQ earned “Best Bitcoin ETF Issuer” and Evolve ETFs was recognized as the “Most Innovative ETF Issuer in Canada,” among other winners announced. All three have recently inked the pages of Fintech.ca.
“These wins emphasize the vital role that Canadian financial institutions play in global ETF operations and growth,” stated Beverly Chandler, Managing Editor of ETF Express.
The annual Canadian ETF Express Awards, designed to highlight the best of the industry across the country, are hosted by ETF Express, which was founded in the UK in 2006 and delivers news and analysis.
ETF Express launched the Canadian ETF Express Awards in 2023, its third regional Awards after launching Europe in 2010 and the U.S. in 2019. A Japan edition started this year.
The entity is operated by Chandler Publishing, an independent financial publishing company which was founded in 2021 and has three digital investment titles in its portfolio: ETF Express, Institutional Asset Manager, and Wealth Adviser.
Bloomberg was founded in New York in 1981 and today delivers data, news, and insights to business and financial markets.
