Square is turning up the volume on Canada’s live music experience this summer through an exclusive partnership with Live Nation Canada, aimed at streamlining concert purchases nationwide.
The new three-year agreement cements Square as the official point of sale and payment processing provider at all Live Nation Canada venues and festivals, expanding on a relationship that began in 2022 at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage and Veld Music Festival.
The enhanced partnership kicks off with Square’s full technology rollout at the highly anticipated Rogers Stadium in Toronto, set to open on June 29. There, Square’s payment infrastructure will support food, beverage, and merchandise transactions throughout the venue.
“Square is the trusted payments and commerce platform for large-scale live entertainment venues around the world,” said Nick Molnar, Global Head of Sales at Block, which includes Square and Cash App. “Every minute saved in line is another memory made at the show.”
Square’s ecosystem includes the Square Register for quick checkouts, the compact Square Terminal, and its newest device—the Square Handheld—which enables mobile payments directly from a vendor’s pocket. Square’s eCommerce tools also support in-seat ordering for premium suite guests at Budweiser Stage.
The partnership promises to enhance fan experiences across the country, making it easier for concertgoers to grab a drink, snag merchandise, and get back to enjoying the show.
