Calgary’s Neo Financial is partnering with United Airlines to launch the United MileagePlus Neo World Elite Mastercard, a new co-branded credit card aimed at Canadian travelers.
Set to roll out in April 2026, the card combines Neo’s real-time rewards infrastructure with United’s global MileagePlus loyalty program, offering Canadians the ability to convert everyday spending into airline miles tied to the world’s largest carrier.
“At Neo Financial, we’re committed to giving Canadians more ways to build momentum with their money,” said Jeff Adamson, Chief Commercial Officer and Co-Founder of Neo Financial. “Partnering with United allows us to bring even more value to travelers by pairing Neo Financial’s real-time rewards experience with one of the world’s leading airline loyalty programs.”
The United MileagePlus Neo World Elite Mastercard will offer:
- Priority boarding and a free checked bag on eligible United flights
- An enhanced welcome offer, with all new cardmembers receiving bonus miles
- An additional 5,000 bonus miles for the first 3,000 customers who join the waitlist and activate their card
- Accelerated miles when booking flights with United and other Star Alliance carriers
- Access to Neo’s rewards ecosystem, including more than 10,000 local and national partners across Canada
Miles earned can be redeemed across United’s network and the broader Star Alliance group, extending reach to international destinations.
The launch marks another step in Neo’s expansion into premium financial products as the Calgary fintech deepens its presence in travel rewards — a competitive segment historically dominated by major Canadian banks and airline incumbents.
For United, the partnership expands its footprint in Canada with a fintech-native distribution model, positioning the carrier to capture cross-border and frequent business travelers seeking flexible rewards tied to global routes.
The card is expected to become available to Canadians this spring, with waitlist enrollment now open ahead of the April launch.
