DailyPay, a U.S.-based worktech company and pioneer in Earned Wage Access (EWA), is launching operations in Canada this May, marking its second international expansion following its entry into the United Kingdom in late 2024.
The company’s arrival in Canada will extend its platform to both new and existing clients with operations across the country, providing Canadian workers with access to their earned wages in real-time.
“Expanding into Canada is a major step in our mission to better serve our multinational clients and partners and to provide Earned Wage Access to everyone, everywhere,” said Josh Durodola, Vice President of International at DailyPay. “By bringing our worktech solution to the Canadian market, we empower employees with greater financial control while helping businesses enhance retention, productivity, and employee satisfaction.”
DailyPay’s EWA solution has helped U.S. workers reduce late bill payments and credit card interest charges—a potentially meaningful impact for Canadian workers, more than half of whom (56%) are currently living paycheck to paycheck.
Several companies are already among DailyPay’s first clients in Canada, including Hotel Equities, Sekure Payment Experts, Bamford Produce, Kids & Company, and HGS. These early adopters cite employee wellness and retention as key motivators.
“Providing access to DailyPay aligns with our goal to empower our associates by giving them greater flexibility and control over their earnings,” said Raj Chollangi, Regional Director of Operations at Hotel Equities. “Ultimately, it helps them achieve financial stability and peace of mind.”
“At Sekure, our people are at the heart of everything we do,” added Katie Chiarelli, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Sekure Payment Experts. “Offering Earned Wage Access is an important step in ensuring they feel valued, supported, and empowered in their financial journey.”
According to research commissioned by DailyPay, employers in the U.S. who offer EWA have seen increases in employee productivity and engagement, with 93% of employers citing the solution as a valuable benefit and 89% saying they would recommend it to peers.
With its Canadian debut, DailyPay aims to replicate this success and further its mission to transform how the world works and gets paid.
