Fintech Added to Merriam Webster Dictionary

The Merriam Webster dictionary is at it again.

They’ve added 840 new words to the dictionary and this time around fintech made the grade.

Short for financial technology and first used in 1971, fintech is defined as “products and companies that employ newly developed digital and online technologies in the banking and financial services industries.”
