Calgary-headquartered payments company Helcim has announced the latest generation of its card reader for businesses looking to accept in-person payments.

The Helcim Card Reader is now available for businesses in Canada and the US looking to accept payment in-person or on-the-go.

The card reader accepts all forms of payments including credit and debit payments using tap, chip, PIN, Google, and Apple Pay. “We wanted to deliver a hardware solution that can adapt to business owners’ diverse and changing needs,” says Helcim CEO Nic Beique.

“That’s why we include a versatile stand along with the card reader that transitions from a traditional checkout experience to a mobile solution easily.”

The card reader connects to devices business owners already own allowing them to design the checkout experience they want. The device integrates with merchants’ existing accounts right out of the box making the integration between in-person and ecommerce transactions seamless.

“The new Helcim Card Reader makes it easy to accept in-person payments. The reader is quick to set up and the price point makes it easy for small businesses looking to get started.” explains Traverse Wellness owner Carmen Merkel.

The Helcim Card Reader is available for $109 in the United States and $139 in Canada.
