Calgary’s Helcim Goes Vibrant with Latest Merchant Offering

May 26, 2022 by Knowlton Thomas Leave a Comment

Helcim has given its card reader a makeover and now offers merchants a choice of vibrantly coloured stands with orders.

The colours are no coincidence—the stands come in the Helcim-brand tones of Pink, Purple, and Yellow.

“We believe in the importance of creating a consistent, brand-led, merchant journey,” explains Kaitie Weaver, Head of Brand at Helcim. “We wanted to extend this philosophy to our merchants and give them a chance to customize their check out experience.”

Calgary-based Helcim is on a mission to be “the world’s most loved payments company” and aims to achieve this by always giving small businesses an advantage.

“Helcim exists to give small businesses every possible edge to stand out against their competitors,” affirmed Weaver. “In our sphere of influence, payments, offering colour choices to businesses needing card readers was a natural step to take our product offering.”

Helcim does not consider any edge too small.

“Customization is one of our secret weapons in achieving our mission of becoming the world’s most loved payments company,” noted Dagan Cardinal, Helcim’s Head of Product.

The Canadian fintech firm processes billions of dollars in payments across thousands of customers and hundreds of industries each year. Last year the company raised a sizeable Series A round led by Toronto’s Information Venture Partners and New York’s Aquiline Technology Growth.

Helcim was relaunched as a payments facilitator in 2020.
