Yield Exchange Wins Twice At SAAS NORTH Pitch Competitions

Vancouver fintech Yield Exchange won big at SAAS NORTH last week.

The online marketplace for guaranteed investment certificates (GIC) won both pitch competitions at the annual Canadian SaaS conference.

Yield Exchange was selected from a group of top 10 finalists for The Firehood, winning $100,000, and was crowned winner of the AWS PitchFest, picking up $10,000 from Amazon Web Services.

Founded in 2019 by Yvette Wu (CEO), Sampath Ekanayake (CPO), Ravi Sumal (COO), Yield Exchange wants to modernize the way depositors access and negotiate GIC rates.

Earlier this year Yield Exchange was a Top 11 finalists for the popular New Ventures BC Competition and was awarded the $10,000 Innovate BC Woman-Led Venture Award.
