Adyen Expands Canadian Presence with New Toronto HQ

Today, Adyen, the global financial technology platform of choice for leading businesses, announced the opening of its Canadian headquarters in Toronto, underscoring Adyen’s commitment to sustained growth in the Canadian market.

Since the start of 2020, Adyen has established a strong presence in Canada, expanding its team to 26 employees across various functions to support local and global businesses operating in the region.

Adyen’s new downtown Toronto office will serve as the company’s Canadian headquarters, underscoring Adyen’s commitment to sustained growth in the Canadian market. Adyen’s other regional HQs include offices in San Francisco, Singapore, and São Paulo.

Adyen also announced the addition of Ilona Fagyas to its leadership team as its new Head of Sales later this month. Fagyas was formerly head of Enterprise Sales, Canada at Paypal, and years of experience at Chase, TD, and Scotiabank.

Adyen has over 20,000 payment terminals in thousands of Canadian stores and processed $1 trillion in payments globally in 2023.

In Canada, Adyen supports both global and Canadian-founded brands, including Meta, H&M, eBay, Microsoft, Footlocker, as well as Mejuri, Moose Knuckles, and Lightspeed.
