Consensus 2025, one of North America’s premier gatherings for the crypto, blockchain, and AI industries, has secured a headline-making duo for its mainstage: Eric Trump and Asher Genoot.
The pair, co-founders of newly launched American Bitcoin, will make their first on-stage appearance together since unveiling the mining venture on March 31.
The annual conference, organized by CoinDesk and taking place May 14–16 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, will spotlight Trump and Genoot’s ambitious plan to reshape industrial-scale Bitcoin mining across North America.
“The launch of American Bitcoin represents a transformative moment for Bitcoin mining in North America,” said Eric Trump, who serves as Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer. “We believe this will become the world’s largest and most efficient pure-play Bitcoin miner.”
Trump made headlines last December at the Bitcoin MENA event in Abu Dhabi when he boldly predicted that Bitcoin would one day reach $1 million per BTC. “I am confident that Bitcoin is going to hit $1 million,” he said during the event—underscoring his conviction in Bitcoin’s long-term value and influence.
American Bitcoin, which aims to achieve over 50 exahashes per second (EH/s) in mining capacity, is positioning itself to lead the next era of Bitcoin infrastructure while building a strategic reserve of the digital asset.
“I’m excited to join the conversation in Toronto at Consensus 2025,” said Genoot, who is also CEO of Hut 8 and a board member of American Bitcoin. “We are committed to establishing North America as the global leader in Bitcoin mining.”
