Caseway Becomes First Canadian AI Firm Embedded in U.S. Legaltech Platform

July 16, 2025 by Robert Lewis 1 Comment

Vancouver-based Caseway has signed an integration deal with AffiniPay, the fintech company behind LawPay and MyCase, giving Caseway’s AI tools direct access to thousands of law firms across the United States.

The deal embeds Caseway’s automation software into the MyCase platform, allowing users to generate court forms, draft legal documents, and manage workflows without leaving the system.

“This is the beginning of AI-native law firms,” said Alistair Vigier, CEO of Caseway. “We’re putting automation where lawyers already work, so they can focus on results.”

AffiniPay, which serves over 245,000 legal and accounting professionals, said the integration aligns with its goal of helping firms work more efficiently without changing existing systems.

“Caseway’s approach fits with our vision for secure, smart tools built into MyCase,” said Kevin Britt, Senior Director of Partnerships at AffiniPay.

The partnership includes revenue sharing, co-marketing, and a dedicated spot for Caseway on the MyCase integrations page.

It’s the first time an AI company based outside the U.S. has secured this level of access to a major American legal platform.

Caseway builds AI tools for legal, academic, and government users, and is developing a free legal research platform with AI integration. AffiniPay’s brands include LawPay, MyCase, CPACharge, and CASEpeer.
