Toronto-based entrepreneur Matt Himel has launched Harvest, an AI-powered accounts receivable (AR) platform designed to help Canadian small and medium-sized businesses accelerate collections and improve cash flow.
Harvest helps businesses recover cash faster, improve cash flow, and reduce the time and effort spent on collections—all while preserving customer relationships.
“Most SMBs don’t fail because they lack a great product or service. They fail because they run out of money while waiting to get paid,” said Himel, Harvest’s CEO and a former lawyer who previously helped scale revenue teams.
Harvest automates personalized, respectful outreach to overdue accounts, delivers real-time AR insights, and unlocks cash trapped in unpaid invoices—all without damaging customer relationships.
The company is backed by Simple Ventures and supported by a group of advisors and board members that includes Wealthsimple co-founder Michael Katchen and Wave co-founder Kirk Simpson.
Himel reports strong early traction with partners already seeing faster collections, reduced manual follow-ups, and healthier balance sheets.
“If you’re a business owner tired of chasing invoices or a finance leader losing sleep over AR, I’d love to chat,” Himel added.
