Adyen to Power Payments for Vancouver-Founded Aritzia

June 15, 2026 by Fintech Newsdesk Leave a Comment

Aritzia is turning to Adyen to support payments across its growing retail and digital footprint.

The Vancouver-founded fashion retailer has selected Adyen to process transactions across its physical boutiques, North American websites, and recently launched mobile app. The partnership is intended to help Aritzia deliver more consistent payment experiences as customers move between in-store, online, and app-based shopping.

For Aritzia, the move comes during a period of continued expansion and digital investment. The company ended its fiscal 2026 fourth quarter with 144 boutiques, up from 130 a year earlier, while digital net revenue grew 36.1 percent for the year. Aritzia has also recently launched its mobile app and reopened its upgraded Oakridge Park boutique in Vancouver, a location tied to the company’s earliest retail history.

Founded in Vancouver in 1984, Aritzia has grown into one of Canada’s most prominent fashion retailers.

“Payments are a foundational part of our retail and digital operations,” said Elisse Shank, Senior Director, Omni at Aritzia. “Adyen provides the platform to consistently support our in-store and app transactions across channels.”

Adyen, which describes itself as a global financial technology platform for leading businesses, said the partnership reflects the growing importance of unified payments infrastructure for retailers operating across multiple customer touchpoints.

“We are pleased to partner with Aritzia, a Canadian brand with a strong retail and digital presence,” said Sander Meijers, Canada Country Manager at Adyen. “Across in-store and app experiences, Adyen’s technology supports payments that are designed to be seamless and reliable, complementing Aritzia’s focus on delivering a consistent, elevated brand experience.”

The partnership adds another Canadian retail brand to Adyen’s customer roster and underscores how payments technology is increasingly becoming part of broader omnichannel retail strategy.
