Focal AI Launches Agentic Platform to Automate Advisor Workflows

September 8, 2026 by Fintech Newsdesk Leave a Comment

Toronto-based Focal AI has launched an agentic AI platform designed to complete administrative tasks across the technology systems used by Canadian financial advisors.

The new platform expands Focal AI beyond meeting preparation, note-taking and CRM synchronization. Its AI agents can read and populate forms, draft emails, create client materials and update information across advisor CRMs and financial-planning software.

Focal AI is targeting an administrative burden that consumes more than 20 hours of an advisor’s week, according to the company. Rather than simply summarizing client conversations, the platform turns the information captured during those meetings into completed tasks.

That includes preparing personalized follow-up emails and meeting recaps, filling KYC and account-opening forms, updating financial plans and creating compliance records. Advisors can also instruct the AI through chat to revise presentations, notes and draft emails.

“Advisors who have made the transition to Focal AI’s agentic platform are increasing their client capacity in days, not months,” said co-founder and chief product officer Jerry Bai.

The company says the platform can populate more than 400 fields in Conquest following a client conversation, covering information such as income, accounts, liabilities, expenses and financial goals. It also integrates with Canadian wealth-management CRMs including Equisoft, Maximizer, Laylah and Cloven.

Focal AI is already used by advisors connected to Canadian wealth networks such as Financial Horizons. Its latest capabilities are intended to move those integrations beyond transferring information between applications to completing entire workflows across them.

In a recent interview with Fintech.ca, Bai said the company’s goal is not to automate the judgment and recommendations at the heart of financial advice. Instead, it wants AI to handle the manual data entry, paperwork and system updates surrounding the advisor-client relationship.

The platform is built on Microsoft Azure infrastructure in Canada, with client data kept within Canadian residency boundaries. Focal AI says it uses a stateless architecture, does not use customer data to train its models and does not store meeting audio or video.

Focal AI also uses visible meeting participation to provide clients with transparency when its technology is recording a conversation. The company is SOC 2 Type II compliant and says the platform was designed around the privacy and compliance requirements of Canadian financial institutions.

The agentic AI platform is now available across Canada.
