Elastic Path and Cymax Collaborate to Compose Commerce in Canada

July 27, 2023 by Knowlton Thomas Leave a Comment

Canadian commerce firm Cymax Group announced this week that it has forged a partnership with Team True North member Elastic Path, the figurehead behind the Composable Commerce Movement, to launch a next-generation web platform.

This launch marks one of Cymax Group’s largest technology investments to date, according to a statement from the eCommerce technology and logistics services platform.

“We are thrilled to make this announcement,” stated Brad Kent, Chief Technology Officer at BC-born Cymax Group. “Our team’s unwavering commitment continues to drive results for the furniture vendors that we work with.”

Composable Commerce from Vancouver neighbour Elastic is like a bespoke tailor of the digital commerce world, crafting unique solutions designed to meet individual business needs.

Leveraging this tech, the collaboration will supercharge Cymax’s marketplaces, Cymax Business and Homesquare, Kent believes.

“Technology is at the center of everything we do,” he says, “and that is exactly how we will continue to win and drive change for our partners, our customers, and our employees.”

Armed with an AI-powered multichannel platform, Channel Gate, Cymax Group is navigating digital commerce with the precision of a seasoned mariner. The company’s new tech, such as cloud-native architecture, extends benefits to the consumer as customers peruse furniture and home goods on a mobile-first design with speed and stability. And a more powerful search function, fuelled by AI, enhances product discovery among 500,000 items.

“We expect to see stronger conversion rates and a steep increase in repeat customers, ultimately driving additional revenue opportunities and growth for our partners,” stated Gord Elder, Vice President of Product at Cymax Group.

In June, Cymax was a finalist for BC Tech’s Excellence in Industry Innovation Award.

Founded in 2000, Elastic Path powers mission-critical digital commerce for more than 200 major brands including Intuit, Deckers, and T-Mobile.

“Never has there been a more exciting time in the history of digital commerce,” Elastic Path chief executive James Driscoll stated in December.

His firm was recently ranked among Canada’s best places to work in tech.
