PropTx Verify Feature Set to Launch for Landlords and Realtors Across Canada

September 29, 2025 by Knowlton Thomas Leave a Comment

A technology subsidiary of the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board is launching an all-in-one tenant screening solution with an aim to deliver peace of mind for landlords.

PropTx Innovations announced that it is partnering with Cove on the service, which is slated to launch in early October, according to a recent statement from the firms.

The new feature, dubbed PropTx Verify powered by Cove, consolidates credit, income, employment, rental history, background checks, and other data into one report that informs landlords while protecting confidential information.

“With PropTx Verify powered by Cove, landlords can rely on accurate reports, tenants gain confidence their data is secure, and Realtors can deliver clarity and support throughout the transaction,” stated John DiMichele, chief executive officer of PropTx.

DiMichele says the services benefits all parties involved: landlords, tenants, and real estate agents.

For landlords, it’s about making informed decisions and avoiding fraud. For tenants, it’s about a faster process that keeps their data safer. And for agents, the tech “enhances their role as trusted advisors by equipping them with a secure, professional tool to guide clients on both sides of the rental transaction.”

Kevin Crigger, President of PropTx, agrees, commenting how “PropTx Verify equips our users with a comprehensive, secure, and easy-to-use tool that ultimately benefits their clients.”

“Landlords gain confidence, tenants gain protection, and Realtors deliver a higher standard of data and insights,” Crigger stated.

Founded in 2024, Cove offers Canadian verification and KYC workflow software that works with financial institutions to embed real-time verification and screening into their platforms to help professionals make faster, more reliable decisions while protecting consumers.

“Our mission at Cove is to make verification effortless yet reliable,” says Adyan Tanver, chief executive officer of Cove. “Through our partnership with PropTx, every landlord, tenant, and Realtor in Ontario can now transact with speed, security, and trust.”
