Bizcap has secured a $175 million credit facility to expand its small business financing operations across Canada and the United States.
The facility, provided by an unnamed U.S. institutional credit manager, will support increased funding originations and product expansion as the non-bank funder grows its North American presence.
The announcement follows Bizcap’s Canadian relaunch, covered by Fintech.ca last December. NewCo Capital Group’s Canadian operations adopted the Bizcap Canada name, joining the company’s global financing network. That transition included enhanced underwriting, more flexible payment options, and a broker portal designed to simplify submissions and deal tracking.
Bizcap says it is investing in proprietary artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve credit decisions and operational efficiency.
“This is a major milestone for Bizcap and an exciting step in our North American growth,” said CEO Albert Gahfi.
Gahfi said the company combines technology and data with an understanding of individual businesses to identify funding opportunities that traditional credit assessments might overlook.
Founded in Australia in 2019, Bizcap now operates in eight countries and says it has provided more than $5 billion in funding to over 100,000 businesses worldwide.
Brean Capital served as exclusive financial advisor and sole placement agent for the transaction.
