Shopify announced a new partnership with Nest today. Shopify merchants using Nest Cams can now access camera footage via the newly released Store Cam for Shopify app and purchase Nest Cams and Google Wifi routers directly from the Shopify Hardware Store.
“Running a retail business can be challenging, but with the right tools and partnerships, we are helping make in-person selling more accessible,” said Satish Kanwar, VP of Product at Shopify.
“We are excited to be partnering with Google to make Nest’s hardware available to our 70,000+ point-of-sale merchants, empowering them with a fully integrated solution that will make it easy for them to manage and monitor their business.”
A live-feed of footage captured from Nest Cams will be immediately available to access in a merchant’s dashboard via the Shopify app. This allows business owners to access footage from their store and more effectively manage their retail space while on the go. The whole process has been designed so it’s easy to set up and manage, providing retailers with affordable, plug-and-play coverage for any space.
