After multiple years of working together in the United States, payment network Affirm and major retailer Williams-Sonoma are bringing their partnership north of the border.
Williams-Sonoma is behind a variety of brands including West Elm, Pottery Barn, and Mark & Graham.
Moving forward, when Canadians shop at these stores, consumers can split purchases into monthly payments with fintech Affirm. Following a real-time eligibility check, customers select a customized payment plan that suits their needs without late or hidden fees.
“We’re thrilled to build on our successful collaboration with Williams Sonoma and their family of brands to bring more Canadians the financial clarity, flexibility, and peace of mind they deserve,” stated Wayne Pommen, Chief Revenue Officer at Affirm.
“As Canadian consumers continue to embrace smarter and more flexible ways to manage spending on home furnishings and essentials, Affirm has become a go-to choice for greater payment control and transparency,” Pommen said.
In a similar vein, Affirm also this month expanded a U.S. partnership with KAYAK into Canada.
Since 2023, fintech Affirm has been integrated into the U.S. website for KAYAK, a travel search engine. Now that integration is present on KAYAK’s Canadian website as well.
Over 350,000 merchants now offer Affirm at checkout worldwide, including Amazon, Apple, Adyen, RONA, and Ottawa’s Shopify.
Founded in 2012 by San Francisco entrepreneur Max Levchin, Affirm trades publicly as AFRM since 2021.
